1. Full Product Overview
3607E is a cost-effective TMR digital output module developed for Triconex Tricon safety system, designed for driving non-critical 48VDC field loads in ESD, F&G and BMS safety control loops. It adopts triple modular redundant hardware architecture with three independent logic channels to perform two-out-of-three voting, eliminating single-point failure risks and realizing bumpless fault tolerance without system shutdown. The module provides 16 non-isolated common-ground digital output points without built-in loop supervision function, so it cannot detect open-circuit or short-circuit faults of individual field channels; only module global fault diagnosis is supported, which greatly reduces hardware cost compared with supervised 3608E / 3617E modules. It is installed in a single slot of Tricon CX/EX/RX series I/O chassis, supports online hot swap without powering off the whole rack, and communicates with main CPU via TriBus redundant backplane bus. Matched with dedicated FTA termination board, each channel needs to be equipped with external quick-blow fuse to protect field solenoids, indicator lights and auxiliary relays. The industrial wide-temperature rugged design adapts to severe environments of petrochemical, power plant, offshore oil & gas platforms, certified for Class I Div 2 hazardous areas and ATEX Zone 2, widely used for non-safety interlock auxiliary indication and low-power actuator control in high-risk process industries.
